Welcome to the Haven Help Center. This guide covers everything you need to know to have the best experience on the platform.

🚀 Getting Started with Connect

Connect & Vibe is Haven's flagship 1-on-1 real-time matching experience.

  1. Drop In: Click the "Drop In" button in the Connect tab.
  2. Matching: Our sub-10ms logic will pair you with another user.
  3. The Call: Once paired, a direct WebRTC connection is established.
  4. Privacy: None of your call data passes through our servers. It's direct P2P.
  5. Next Match: Use the "Next" button to instantly swap partners.

🛡️ Safety & Moderation

We take your safety seriously. Haven is a space for positive vibes.

  • AI NSFW Scanning: Every 1-on-1 session is protected by client-side AI that scans for inappropriate content. If detected, the user is warned or automatically reported.
  • Manual Reporting: See something wrong? Click the Report icon. Our "Pulse" server will instantly isolate the user and log the session for review.
  • Text Filtering: All chat messages pass through PurgoMalum to filter out profanity and toxicity.

🏛️ Sangha (Servers & Rooms)

Sanghas are persistent communities that allow you to grow together.

  • Voice Rooms: Powered by LiveKit, these rooms support high-quality group audio and video.
  • Channel Hierarchy: Admins can create categories and locked channels for specific vibes (e.g., Lofi, Deep Work, Chill).
  • Roles & Permissions: Server owners can assign Admin, Mod, and Member roles with granular access controls.

🏆 memberly Progression (XP & Levels)

Your presence in Haven is rewarded.

  • Gaining XP: You earn XP for every minute spent in a Sangha voice channel or active Connect session.
  • Leaderboard: Check the global Hall of Fame to see where you stand among the most consistent members.
  • Badges: Reach higher levels to unlock exclusive badges and prestige within the community.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Camera/Microphone Not Working?

  1. Ensure you have granted Haven permission in your browser.
  2. Check the "Device Settings" in your profile to select the correct hardware.
  3. Refresh the page—our hardware cleanup logic ensures stale streams are released.

Connection Issues?

  • If the "Connect" lobby says "Connecting...", the microservice might be waking up (Render free tier). This usually takes 5-10 seconds.
  • Ensure you aren't behind a strict corporate firewall that blocks WebRTC ports.
