🚫 Forbidden Content (Instant Ban)

We have zero tolerance for the following. Detection via AI or human reporting will result in a permanent ban:

  • Nudity & Sexual Content: Any form of explicit exposure, sexual acts, or pornographic material.
  • Harassment & Hate Speech: Attacks based on race, religion, gender, or orientation.
  • Minors: Haven is for users 18+. Any minor discovered on the platform will be instantly banned.
  • Illegal Content: Promotion of drugs, weapons, extremism, or any material prohibited by Indian law.
  • Personal Data Sharing: Doxing or sharing phone numbers, addresses, or private handles.

🤝 Behavior Expectations

  • Be Respectful: No bullying, threats, or discriminatory behavior.
  • Stay Visible: Keep your face visible and ensure proper lighting for a safe interaction.
  • No Redissemination: Do not record or screenshot others without explicit consent.
  • No Impersonation: Do not use fake cameras or pretend to be someone else.

🚨 Reporting & Consequences

We use a combination of AI screening and user-driven reports:

  • Threshold Bans: Multiple consistent reports in a short window trigger an automated temporary suspension pending moderator review.
  • False Reports: Intentional false reporting or abuse of the report system can lead to penalties for the reporter.
  • Evidence: We capture encrypted screenshots during reports for evidence-based moderation.

📚 Give Credit & Respect IP

Academic integrity and intellectual property rights matter:

  • Always credit the original source of materials
  • Do not plagiarize or copy others' work
  • Respect copyright and intellectual property
  • Share only content you have the right to share
  • Acknowledge help and collaboration
  • Report copyright violations

📹 Video Call Etiquette

When using video matchmaking and study rooms:

  • Dress appropriately and maintain a professional appearance
  • Use a neutral background or virtual background
  • Mute your microphone when not speaking
  • Be punctual and respectful of others' time
  • Stay focused on the study session
  • End calls politely and thank your study partner

⚠️ 18+ Requirement: Video matchmaking is restricted to users 18 and older for safety reasons.

🚨 Report Violations

Help us maintain a safe community by reporting violations:

  • Use the report button to flag inappropriate content or behavior
  • Provide specific details about the violation
  • Do not engage with or retaliate against violators
  • Trust our moderation team to handle reports
  • Report urgent safety concerns immediately
